Neat Flower Farm

growing food and flowers in a happy garden ecosystem

Hello! My name is Heidi and I am owner and curator of this lovely collection that is Neat Flower Farm. I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest in Portland Oregon where there exists a bounty of wonderful opportunities to cultivate kindness, self-love, and beauty. I am a Horticulturist, a lover of ecology, birds, bugs, plants, animals, and soil health.

My educational background in conservation, veterinary medicine, horticulture, and environmental science all center on understanding and sustaining living systems. Through studying wildlife health, ecosystem dynamics, plant science, and environmental stewardship, I’ve developed a well-rounded perspective on how natural systems function and how human activity shapes them. This foundation directly fuels my passion for ecology, guiding both my approach to problem-solving and my values around sustainability. I created Neat Flower Farm in an effort to directly apply ecological principles to grow healthy relationships with our gardens, to support biodiversity, and to create practices that work in harmony with the environment rather than against it. Through Horticoaching I help others create gardens that are not only beautiful but also in harmony with nature. Neat Flower Farm is a continuously evolving dream toward a more sustainable and productive lifestyle with a profound love for community and bridging the gaps that exist between us and our natural world. Neat Flower Farm is an experimental canvas in my urban growing space combining my educational background in conservation, horticulture , and environmental science to focus on ways to bring edible and productive biodiverse ecosystems back to urban settings, not only for people but for the wildlife, soil, and insects that help make it all possible!

I appreciate the loving support and look forward to sharing my journey and bounty with you!
